Right now is a very dangerous time for Canadian Geese in the US. There has been deemed that there are too many – so their plan? To just kill them off. We can’t just keep killing off our animal species. To donate to them to help stop the slaughter of geese, go here.

Organization: ASPCA

Do you have a pet? Great, you can do a little something to help out the ASPCA. Currently, if you get a quote on pet insurance (don’t even have to buy it, just have to get a quote), the company will donate $1 up to $10,000 dollars. It’s an easy way to give money to a great cause. I know a lot of times it’s hard to have money to personally give, that’s why opportunities like this are so great. Get your quote here.

Category: Women, Animals, Domestic Violence

Organization: American Humane Association is hosting the Paws N’Doodles Show & Tail Contest. What they are looking for is a doodle along with a short story about a pet. It is to benefit the American Humane Association’s Pet’s and Women’s Shelters (PAWS) Program. This program seeks to make people aware of the need for domestic violence shelters  to take pets of the women they accept as well as to give them the necessary funding to help accommodate these animals. They don’t want victims of domestic abuse to feel as if their only choice is to stay to protect their pets. The fee is 5 dollars per entry and entry can be done easily online. The first prize winner will receive prizes including $500, their artwork on the cover of a book, and a $500 donation to the PAWS program. Find out more and enter here.
